What is TAVI

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (or TAVI / TAVR (replacement) is the procedure to replace a diseased aortic valve without open-heart surgery or surgical removal of the native valve. The implantation procedure involves accessing the femoral artery, performing balloon valvuloplasty, and then advancing the device across the native valve.
